Luke Charlton joined us from Hensingham ARLFC and is the 3rd generation of the Charlton family to play professionally for Workington Town RLFC. Luke follows in the illustrious path of legendary full back and Hall of Famer - his Grandad Paul Charlton and his Dad Gary, who played and then later coached Town and is current Director of Rugby at neighbours Whitehaven RLFC.

Luke had the following to say on his move to the pro ranks:

"It's a honour to sign for Workington Town and to be given the opportunity to play at a higher level of rugby. I'm extremely proud to be able to continue a family tradition in playing for this great club and I can't wait to step on the pitch at Derwent Park and give it my all!"
