Town Launch Volunteer Hall of Fame with Three Deserving Inductees

We unveiled this great news on Sunday post match!
Workington Town RLFC are proud to announce the launch of the club’s Volunteer Hall of Fame, recognising the incredible people who have dedicated so much time, effort, and passion to the success of our club over the years.
We are delighted to confirm that Jimmy Woolaghan, Richard West, and Stephen “Patch” Daniel have become the first-ever inductees into the Workington Town RLFC Volunteer Hall of Fame.
These three individuals have each played a huge role behind the scenes at Workington Town, giving countless hours of service and support to the club through different generations. Their commitment, loyalty, and love for Town have helped shape the club both on and off the field, and this recognition is richly deserved.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of community rugby league clubs, and Workington Town has always been fortunate to have people willing to go above and beyond for the badge. Whether it’s matchdays, training nights, fundraising, maintenance, travel, or simply always being there when needed, the contribution of volunteers cannot be overstated.
Jimmy Woolaghan’s decades of dedication to Town have already become legendary within the rugby league community, while Richard West and Stephen “Patch” Daniel have also each made enormous contributions to the club over many years through their tireless hard work and commitment.
This new Hall of Fame has been created to ensure those contributions are properly recognised and remembered as part of Workington Town’s history.
These are just the first three names to be honoured, with further inductees set to be recognised as the season progresses.
Everyone at Workington Town would like to congratulate Jimmy, Richard, and Patch on this fantastic achievement and thank them once again for everything they have done and continue to do for the club.
Supporters are encouraged to share their own memories, stories, and well wishes for three true Town legends as we celebrate the people who make this club so special.
