BEAR WILLIAMS JOINS TOWN FOR 2026!

The front rower joins us after training in the pre-season with Warrington!

We are delighted to confirm that we have signed prop forward Bear Williams on a contract for the 2026 season.

Bear joins us after completing a pre season with Warrington Wolves and prior to that had a 2 year spell at NRL side South Sydney Rabbitohs, playing regularly for their reserve grade side in the NSW Cup. Prior to that Bear played for the Cornwall Pirates in rugby union.

We’d like to place on record our thanks to Ashley Kilpatrick for his diligent and speedy in work in securing Bear.

'Bear came to our attention around August / September time when we were looking for middles when he was at South Sydney. Bear sent us his clips and Jonty liked what he saw, reminding him of a front rower he had at Whitehaven in Huw Worthington.

Fast forward a few months and Bear became available after completing a pre season at Warrington Wolves. I spoke to Gary Chambers who couldn’t speak highly enough of him and said he would be an asset for us if we could get him in, this recommendation is highly valued and the club acted quickly to secure Bear’s services and glad to say Bear has signed until the end of the year with us. A huge thank you to ‘Chem’ at Warrington for his advice on Bear and recommending him.’

Bear has now begun training with the squad.
