Jonty gets his man!

We are delighted to confirm the signing of 25 year old Australian prop forward Lucas Castle.

Castle is a former St George Dragons reserve grade middle who has spent the last 2 seasons at Whitehaven RLFC and has amassed 52 appearances highlighting his reliability and consistency in the Championship competition. 

Here's what Jonty had to say about Lucas. 

'It's taken a bit of time to get Lucas over the line but Gary Murdock and Lucas eventually got a deal sorted that worked for both parties and I'm very thankful that Lucas is coming. So to add Lucas to our squad is a bonus. He's a Championship standard front rower who has held his own the last couple of years in that competition. I've been on the lookout for for a quality front rower and Lucas fits the bill.

He's a great addition and I can't wait to see him in League 1. I'm confident he's going to do a very good job for Workington Town!'

Lucas is scheduled to arrive very early March and will come in to contention when we visit Midlands Hurricances on the 9th March.
