HEAD OF BOYS RUGBY LEAGUE DEVELOPMENT PATHWAYS.
Workington Town RLFC are excited to announce the launch of its boys' and girls' development pathways, our ambition is to offer opportunities to both local boys and girls to join our talent pathways. To help the club with this exciting and potentially game changing opportunity for young Cumbrians, we are now seeking a highly motivated, talented individual to head up all sections of the boys Talent pathways.
Job description.
COACHING: Delivering high-quality coaching at different age levels within the development pathways.
PLAYER IDENTIFICATION: Scouting and recruiting promising young players from local schools and communities.
TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES: Designing and implementing structured training programmes for both players and coaches.
COACH EDUCATION: Supporting and upskilling community coaches through workshops, and mentoring, to ensure consistent coaching standards. Working alongside our head coach and support staff to implement coaching and skill sessions.
EVENT ORGANISATION: Working alongside our Community trust team to organise development camps, and events for young people to showcase their talents.
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS: Working alongside and supporting our local Community clubs and schools to ensure the pathways programme benefits the local community clubs, and ensuring players can progress through a structured pathway.

This is a superb opportunity to bring the professional and community game together to give youngsters an opportunity in their own county, to be connected to professional coaching and advice earlier in their development to produce more developed players to transition from the community game to the professional game!
