BROTHERS IN ARMS! TOWN SWOOP FOR BURNS BROTHERS!

Pacey wing Aaron and NCL 1 Player of the Year Jordan join Murray's squad!

Workington Town have swooped to sign the much sought after Burns brothers from newly promoted NCL side Kells ARLFC.

Aaron is a pacy outside back and has just represented the England Community Lions whilst Jordan was named NCL Division 1 Player of the year last season and needs no introduction after previously representing Whitehaven RLFC and is certainly no stranger to the tryline with a try ratio of 1 every 2 games when clocking up over 100 appearances for Whitehaven!

We look forward to seeing them fulfill a childhood dream by player together professionally.

The signings take Anthony Murray's squad up to 21 and with more news to come later in the week we are have options in the outside backs.

On Saturday we announced the signing of Ghanian International Sean Sabutey and ex North Wales Crusaders and Rochdale man Earl Hurst, both can play wing or centre.

Those options are supplemented by the retained Ethan Bickerdike and another new signing in Max Anderson-Moore.

We also announced forward JJ Key fresh from a stand out year at Seaton Rangers and the utility potential of Fergus Simpson who is equally at home at 1,7 or 9 from West Wales Raiders after the youngster moved to Wales to gain valuable League 1 experience bringing him to the Anthony Murray's attention.

It's been a busy period and we are not finished yet....keep your eyes on social media as we add further players and there is major news on the way about our new main shirt sponsor!
