FANS FORUM ROUND UP AS MURRAY ERA BEGINS!

3 signings announced and off field appointments confirmed!

A great day on Saturday 15th October as the Rugby League World Cup and Anthony Murray's era as Workington Town Head Coach got into full swing!

Speaking passionately and eloquently Anthony is delighted to be at Town and cannot wait to get started when we return to training mid November!

Anthony will be sponsored by John Walker at Maryport Bodyworks Ltd. John has also kindly supplied a club car for Anthony. Thank you John for your support!

We announced 3 signings ahead of the 2023 season.

Seaton Rangers and ex-Town prop Tom Curwen has signed a 1 year deal at Derwent Park after he made a successful return to Rl in 2022, helping Seaton to a playoff position in their debut in the NCL system.

Ulverston ARLFC back rower Jack Stephenson and Barrow Island ARLFC centre, wing or full back Max Anderson-Moore were also revealed as squad members for 2023!

Off the pitch, Carl Porter and his employers Black Finch committed to funding and supporting the Workington Town RLFC Community Trust - Make a difference in 2023.

In addition, Carl will be acting officially in the Warrington / Lancashire area as a club scout and representative. Carl is level 4 qualified and an ex-Warrington Wolves Academy coach.

We can also now confirm ex-Town star Dean Marwood will be carrying out the same role in the South of the county & Barrow area, with the intention being to be covering as many games as possible with Workington Town representatives.

These appointments will assist Anthony in his identifying talented players going forward.

More news to come next week....
