MARWOOD BACK AS TOWN SECURE 5!

Squad taking shape as we continue to prepare for 2023!

Workington Town are delighted to announce the signings of:

Luke Broster, a prop who has played for Elbra ARLFC and last season made the move to West Wales Raiders to prove himself in League 1, we had Luke on trial ahead of the Championship season so he is familiar with the club and he can't wait to make further progress.

Joe Kirkup, prop Joe stepped into the Championship last season and scored his first Town try away to Featherstone and showed plenty of promise and we are delighted to welcome Joe to the club on a permanent basis.

Liam McNicholas, back row forward Liam arrives after a number of strong seasons at Distington ARLFC and feels it's time to turn professional and is delighted to be able to play for his hometown club as we aim for a strong season. Much sought after amateur and we're delighted to secure his signature.

Towering second row forward Malik Steele has committed to the club and after being thrust into Championship action fresh from Newcastle Thunder Academy rugby in 2022, totalling 16 appearances and 2 tries, Mal is delighted to be staying and will look to build on the tough debut season by having a strong campaign in 2023.

Last but no means least we welcome back the versatile talents of Blain Marwood, tough, quick and with an eye for the tryline he has come in after a fantastic season for Barrow Island ARLFC where he was named NCL 2 player of the year!

Stay tuned for more signings.
