FANS FAVOURITE BLAIN REMAINS AT TOWN!

Hard work rewarded with 2 year contract for ex-Barrow Island star!

We’re delighted to announce that Blain Marwood has re-signed for the next two seasons. Blain immediately became a fans favourite when he signed from Barrow Island due to his habit of scoring tries with his first touch of the ball, his speed of thought and agility in attack and his fearless defending.

‘With the new rule changes coming into effect recently and having watched how the NRL and Super League teams have adapted to them, I’ve had to think about how our squad would look when it comes to the evolution of our game. I think re-signing Blain Marwood is an indicator of that. Blain’s game is based around speed and agility. I’ve worked hard with him on all defensive aspects of his game and if he continues to improve at the rate he was pre lockdown, I’m really excited to see him develop in a Town shirt. On top of that he has a fantastic attitude and is exactly the sort of person we want in the squad.

I’m really happy to re-sign. I felt like I was getting a good run of games before the virus stopped play so I can’t wait for 2021 to start and get back to it.
