Cougarmania head to Derwent Park for league opener!

As there has been plenty things happening over the last two weeks we have a round up for you!

Signing news.

Forwards Adam Ramsden and Ryan Wilson have joined the club on permanent contracts from Wath Brow Hornets and Ellenborough Rangers respectively whilst we have entered into amateur registration agreements with Ethan Bickerdike, Billy Thompson and Zak Steel who have trained with us all pre-season and figured in the pre-season friendly fixtures. 

The agreement allows the flexibility for the players to train and play for their community clubs whilst continuing to be part of our set up. All 3 have trained hard and consistently and are a credit to their respective clubs.

New signing Ryan Wilson makes his first appearance in the 21man squad replacing Ethan Bickerdike. Ryan is a tough front row forward who joined the club this week from local side Ellenborough Rangers. Caine Barnes is in the squad as is Hanley Dawson after both trained this week shrugging off knocks picked up in the excellent 22-12 victory over Doncaster RLFC in last weeks Challenge Cup 4th round tie. Adam Ramsden retains his place in the squad after a solid debut last weekend. 

Hooker Dec O'Donnell has undergone a clean up operation on a problematic knee injury after a period of rehabilitation with our club physio improved the injury but ultimately the decision was made to go ahead with the surgery. 

We intend to bring you Squad news from lunchtime Saturday going forward once Chris has concluded his preparations at Saturday's final training session, so keep an eye on the website and social media.

The gates open at 1pm as does the Gus Risman Bar which will be open from 1pm.

Tickets will be available to purchase from the club shortly to secure your early bird discount.

Next Betfred League One Action. - Newcastle Thunder Away.

Early next week we will have tickets available to purchase for the short trip over the A69 to play Newcastle Thunder directly from Derwent Park.

All tickets sold will see Town receive 20% of any sales so please purchase directly from the club offices and then simply head to Kingston Park with your ticket and gain entry on the day. - We will confirm on social media once they have arrived and then help raise some funds for the club!

Prices are £15 Adults, £13 Concessions and £3 Juniors.
