TOWN OVERCOME ADVERSITY ON EMOTIONAL DAY AT BOROUGH PARK!
That victory was for you Brian Ritson!
It was an emotional day at Borough Park as we mourned the passing of Workington Town Team Manager Brian Ritson, tributes poured in from all over the world from past players and representatives throughout the Rugby League family as news spread. His close family were in attendance as Town turned in a spirited and determined performance as the club, coach and players all dedicated the victory to Bri.
A wonderful man and a gentlemen, he will be very sorely missed at Workington Town and leaves a massive hole at the club.
We paid tribute to Brian and another Town legend Harry Archer who also recently passed away with a minutes applause prior to the game.
