DANNY Tickle is set to be back in blue and white next season after re-signing for Town. Danny has committed to another season at Derwent Park in a major boost as head coach Chris Thorman tied down one of his key players.Thorman said: “Ticks really is the model professional.“He was outstanding as soon as I arrived midway through last season, setting the standard in everything good the team did.“He has great standards in everything he does, both on and off the field.“One of our most experienced and respected members of the squad, who I’ll be looking at to lead from the front.“We made sure that Danny was signed on for next season very early on, as he still has so much to offer.“I’m very pleased we’ve managed to retain his services.”The former England international signed for Town last season after a long and distinguished career in Super League, most notably with Wigan Warriors and Hull.Tickle has also played for Halifax, Widnes Vikings, Castleford Tigers, Leigh Centurions and Hull Kingston Rovers.He played three times for England Knights and once for England in a career which has seen him rack up over 500 appearances in rugby league, The 36-year-old arrived at Town after leaving Hull KR and made 24 appearances for us in 2019, scoring four tries and helping the team to reach the League 1 play-offs.
