TANNA FEATHERSTONE IS BACK FOR 2027!

Workington Town can proudly announce that Tanna Featherstone will return for another year with the club in 2027.

Workington Town RLFC are delighted to confirm that winger Tanna Featherstone has committed to the club for the 2027 season, becoming the latest player to secure his future in blue and white.

Tanna arrived at the Fibrus Community Stadium in late May 2026 following funding support from the Workington Town RLFC Blue Knights Group. Since joining, he has made a positive impression with his committed performances, scoring two tries in 10 appearances and consistently demonstrating the effort and determination that Town supporters value.

His performances have certainly caught the attention of new Head Coach Brad Singleton, who was keen to ensure the winger remained part of the squad as plans for 2027 continue to take shape.

Brad said: "I'm really pleased Tanna has committed to another year at Workington. He was one of the players who stood out to me when I came to watch Town play Newcastle Thunder.

"I remember coming away from that game and asking whether Tanna had been retained. If he hadn't been, I wanted to know how we could make sure he stayed.

"He might not be the biggest player on the field, but he plays with hunger and aggression. His desire to win the ruck stood out to me, and he's not someone who shies away from the physical side of the game. He's prepared to compete, he puts his body on the line and will do the hard work for the team.

"The way we want to play next season will ask a lot from our outside backs. We need players who are willing to work coming out of our own end, compete on every carry and still have the energy to make an impact when opportunities come in attack. I think Tanna has the attributes to do that really well.

"He's an important part of the group we're putting together."

Tanna is equally delighted to continue his journey with Town and is eager to build on his first season in Cumbria.

He said: "I'm extremely proud and honoured to re-sign with Workington Town for the 2027 season. It means a lot to me to have the opportunity to wear this jersey again and represent such a great club and community.

"I'm incredibly grateful for the support I've received and can't wait to get back out there, give my all for the badge, and contribute to the club's success both on and off the field.

"Up the Town!"

Tanna's retention is another positive step as Brad continues to assemble his squad for the 2027 campaign. His work rate, competitive edge and willingness to put the team first fit the standards the new Head Coach wants to establish at Workington.

We look forward to seeing Tanna back in action in the blue and white next season.
