CHARITY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT!

See how much the amazing people of the Town raised on Sunday!
Workington Town are proud to announce that an incredible £11,102 was raised during our recent Charity Fundraising Day.
The total will be split equally between The Steve Prescott Foundation and Every Life Matters, supporting the Cumbria United suicide prevention initiative and the important work both organisations carry out within our communities.
The day brought together supporters, players, volunteers, local organisations and the wider rugby league community for a fantastic occasion both on and off the field. While the action on the pitch provided plenty of entertainment, the main focus of the day was raising awareness and vital funds for two causes that make a meaningful difference to so many people.
Workington Town would like to extend a huge thank you to every person who played a part in raising such an incredible amount.
Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and attended the game, helping create a brilliant atmosphere and showing their support for the charities involved.
Thank you to everyone who bought a beer, with every contribution helping increase the final fundraising total.
Thank you to everyone who made a donation, whether large or small. Every pound made a difference and helped us reach the fantastic total of £11,102.
We would also like to thank everyone who took part in the post-match auction and bid on the players’ match-worn shirts. The generosity shown during the auction made a significant contribution to the final amount raised.
The club would also like to recognise everyone who helped organise, support and deliver the event. From our volunteers and staff to the players, sponsors, charity representatives and everyone working behind the scenes, the success of the day was a true team effort.
The money raised will help support the ongoing work of The Steve Prescott Foundation, while also contributing to Every Life Matters and the Cumbria United suicide prevention initiative, helping raise awareness, provide support and encourage important conversations throughout our local communities.
To raise £11,102 is an outstanding achievement, and it would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of the Workington Town family and the wider community.
Once again, thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, came along to the game, purchased a drink, made a donation, bid on a match-worn shirt or supported the event in any way.
Together, we made a real difference.
£11,102 raised. One community. A huge impact.
