OUR CHARITY GAME IS THIS WEEK!

Get your ultra early tickets with money from sales going to charity!

Workington Town RLFC is calling on the whole community to get behind our biggest charity event of the year as we welcome Keighley Cougars to the Fibrus Community Stadium on Sunday 27th July (3:00pm kick-off).

This promises to be much more than just 80 minutes of rugby league. It's a day dedicated to raising vital funds for two incredible causes while bringing together supporters, families and the wider community.

Grab Your Ultra Early Bird Tickets Today!

Supporters can take advantage of Ultra Early Bird ticket prices until 9:00pm on Wednesday 23rd July, making it the cheapest way to attend what promises to be a fantastic day.

Even better, £1 from every ticket sold will be donated directly to our chosen charities, while supporters purchasing online will also have the option to donate an additional £1 to an organisation of their choice.

By simply coming through the turnstiles, you'll already be helping to make a difference.

This year's Charity Matchday will raise funds for Cumbria United Against Suicide (Every Life Matters) and The Steve Prescott Foundation, supporting both suicide prevention across Cumbria and seriously injured rugby league players.

A Day to Remember

Gates open at 12:30pm, with local community clubs taking centre stage before the main event, showcasing the future of rugby league on the Fibrus Community Stadium pitch.

Our first team will then take to the field wearing a special one-off purple charity kit, created exclusively for the occasion in support of our fundraising efforts.

The charity work doesn't stop when the final whistle blows either.

Following the match, supporters will have the opportunity to bid for the match-worn shirts, with all proceeds from the auction going directly to the charities.

Among the unique items available will be two very special one-off shirts:

  • Steve Prescott No.1 commemorative shirt
  • Barnes No.12 special edition shirt

Entertainment Throughout the Day

There will be plenty happening away from the pitch to keep the whole family entertained.

At 2:15pm in the Fanzone Marquee, former St Helens legend Tommy Martyn, who played alongside Steve Prescott, will join former Warrington Wolves favourite Benny Westwood for an exclusive Q&A, sharing stories from their outstanding rugby league careers.

Providing the soundtrack to the afternoon will be The Voice star Alex Buchanan, who will be performing live in the marquee and helping create a brilliant atmosphere before and after the game.

Supporters can also enjoy the bar throughout the day, with 10p from every pint poured also being donated to the charities.

More Than Rugby

Mental health continues to impact families throughout our communities, with suicide affecting far too many lives. As a community club, Workington Town believes in using its platform to support causes that matter.

Alongside our support for Every Life Matters and Cumbria United Against Suicide, we're proud to also stand behind The Steve Prescott Foundation, which continues to provide incredible support for seriously injured rugby league players and their families.

Every ticket purchased, every pint poured and every auction bid will help these organisations continue their invaluable work.

Let's make this our biggest crowd of the season, fill the Fibrus Community Stadium, create a fantastic atmosphere and, together, make a real difference.

Buy your Ultra Early Bird tickets before 9:00pm on Wednesday and be part of a special day for our club and our community.

Up The Town.
