Workington Town have signed much in demand local back row forward Malik Steele!

An ex-Seaton Rangers junior, Malik has spent a number of years at Newcastle Thunder, a player who Thunder were reluctant to lose. However Malik has committed to his home town team and is of vast potential, his desire to sign for Workington Town was evident.

On securing Malik's signature Head Coach Chris Thorman said:

'Mal is a big edge back rower that has had three really good educational years at Newcastle Thunder. He’s a Cumbrian lad that can’t wait to represent his home town team. Still only 19 years old, but with the preseason he’s having, he’s really training himself into contention to feature in the team.'

Malik will be sporting the new Ellgren range in 2022.
