TOWN SECURE PLAY OFF FINAL SLOT WITH GOLDEN POINT WIN!

FORBER KICKS TOWN TO HOME FINAL!

In an epic tussle at Derwent Park Workington Town come out on top after a Keighley Cougars fightback saw the scores tied at 16-16 at full time. The game headed into golden point extra time and after a contested high ball was superbly secured by Jake Lightowler the following plays resulted in Brad Holroyd sidestepping the defence and was caught high right in front of the posts and with the penalty ace goalkicker Carl Forber slotted it over to secure Town a home final on 10th October against the winners of Keighley Cougars and Doncaster RLFC, 1PM KO. 

Town took the spoils in the first half with some slick attacking through tries from Barnes 2 and Brad Holroyd to lead 16-6 but Keighley hit back with a last minute try from Kyle Kesik near the posts which Miller converted to tie the game up.
