WEST WALES RAIDERS 22-36 WORKINGTON TOWN

LONG TRIP REWARDED WITH WIN NUMBER 9 AS CARL FORBER KICKS 1000TH GOAL!

The long trip to West Wales Raiders was rewarded with a 22-36 victory in a tough encounter at Steboneath Park.

First half scores from Wellington, a first professional try for ex- Millom ARLFC back Lee Postlethwaite and 2 from Carl Forber gave Town a 16-22 lead at half time.

Further scores from Holroyd and Forber completing his hatrick accompanied by 6 goals from Forber gave Town the win against a spirited Raiders team who are a much improved outfit from the team beaten earlier at Derwent Park. 

Carl Forber's 6 goals also included his 1000th in the professional game, a fantastic achievement!

The game saw debuts for Dave Weetman (pictured) and ex-Ellenborough Rangers star Zac Olstrom.
