JAMIE DORAN REMAINS IN THE BLUE & WHITE UNTIL END OF 2024!

Star half back settled and determined to continue to improve!

We’re absolutely delighted to have secured the signature of our highly experienced and talented half back Jamie Doran and extended his contract by a further 3 years until the end of 2024. Jamie joined from Wigan Warriors in 2015 and has been an ever present since. 

Jamie said;
It was a no-brainer to re-sign. It's a great club and a great town with brilliant fans. The board and coaching staff have treated me really well and I thoroughly enjoy it here with a great group of lads. The deal will take me near to my testimonial year so it's great to be at the club for so long and gives both me and club stability in my playing position.  
Chris Thorman signing a contract extension also played a massive part in my decision. To be coached by someone who's played in the halves at the highest level in Super League and the NRL means that I'm learning all the time and our relationship has built really strongly over the last 18 months. My new wife Carrie-Anne was also a big factor in re-signing as she loves the club and watches me home and away.  Thanks to Ian Rooney who's also helped me with over the last few weeks.

Jamie is undoubtedly one of the most talented players at the club and when he applies himself in all of the right areas of his game, he is probably one of the best ball players in the competition. During my time at the club and particularly since we’ve got back into training in 2021, I’ve seen a massive improvement in all areas of his game, the main one being his effort in preseason and his attendance at the club to do extras on his days off. If he remains consistent in these areas, Jamie is on course to have his best season in a Town shirt. I’m looking forward to Jamie playing his part in leading us into a new era for the club.
