RESULT.

Workington Town 18-28 Barrow Raiders.

2 late tries from the visitors saw the Raiders snatch victory after Town had battled back from a half time deficit at 6-16 to deservedly lead against the much fancied Barrow. Town's tries were scored through new signing Brad Holroyd, Calvin Wellington and Ethan Bickerdike who raced home after a great break from trialist Jordan O'Leary was followed up by a well timed pass down the Barrow right edge. Town included 10 trialists in total and there was many positives for coach Chris Thorman to take from the game.

Head Coach Chris Thorman has named his squad for the much awaited return to Rugby League for Workington Town in their friendly fixture against title favourites and county rivals Barrow Raiders.

The game will be played behind closed doors but you can watch for as little as £4.95 on the ouRLeague app as long as you purchase prior to Sunday and it is still only £10.00 on the day to take a look at our new signings and also a cluster of the Development Squad who have been with the club throughout pre-season and earned an opportunity to impress.
