As ever there is plenty going on around the club even though there is no actual Rugby League to watch at Derwent Park.

So if you haven't picked up the news via our social media channels here is the latest.

Hooker Declan O'Donnell is leaving the club to take up a contract with new Canadian club Ottawa Aces, we wish Dec the very best of luck in his new venture and thank him for his efforts in the blue and white.

Allerdale Sports Village talks have been very positive and moved forward this week with all 3 parties Allerdale Borough Council, Workington Reds and ourselves fully committed to getting this stadium over the line. Season Ticket holders are being offered 2 options in relation to their 2020 season tickets and board members have been working our way through the lists, the feedback and level of generosity is simply outstanding and very humbling and we thank you all. 

If you have a season ticket and have yet to be contacted then don't worry we will get to you or if you have changed phone numbers or contact details please let us know by emailing us at info@townshop.co.uk , you can either make a donation to the club and as a thank you for that gesture we will place your name on the playing shirt for 2021 and also we will be displaying your name on a thank you board to be displayed at the club or receive a pro rata refund. If you like you can state your preferred option by email.

We have also arranged a bit of 20/20 Cricket fun to help support our local cricket club, we will play Workington CC at the Ernest Valentine Ground in what will become the annual Wilf Harrison Memorial Challenge on Friday 28th August with a 5:30pm start. 

Everybody is welcome and we would love to see all our sponsors, friends and fans to support another club who have been hit hard by the pandemic. The Covid19 precautions are very well organised and a great night awaits.
