SEASON TICKET HOLDERS UPDATE

2020 has been, and continues to be, a challenging year for the club. After the sport’s decision to cancel the season we are in a position where we need to have a realistic view of our 2021 budget. Chris needs this to enable recruitment and as well as an already competitive league next season we will also be up against a full time team and others investing heavily . The last few months have been tremendously difficult. Without furlough and the magnificent help from our supporters the club would have been in considerable jeopardy. 

We’re not out of the woods yet. To be frank, if we were to see a high proportion of season ticket holders requesting refunds, we would at worst have a large hole in the finances and at best have a much reduced playing budget for the next few seasons. We therefore request that you consider donating the refund to the club. That being said we, of course, understand that the pandemic has hit many people and may have impacted the circumstances of our loyal fans. 

The board would like to propose the following 2 options

1. Donate the pro-rata refund to the club. All season ticket holders who donate the refund will get their name woven into the 2021 Town shirt and on a 2020 lockdown thank you board in the players tunnel as a tribute to that outstanding gesture.

2. Claim the pro-rata refund. 

Members of the board will be ringing around season ticket holders in the next few days to ask which option you would prefer.

Alternatively you can email info@townshop.co.uk with the season ticket holder’s name and number with your preferred option.
