Sponsor Myers and Bowman Toyota

Ryan started his career with hometown team Halifax and quickly endeared himself to the fans with a string of impressive performances which helped establish a reputation that he was one of the best full backs outside of Super League. Relatively tall for a fullback, he is quick and his support play and eye for an try scoring opportunity saw Ryan spend 4 productive seasons at Halifax scoring 53 tries in that time. A move to Dewsbury followed after recovering from a serious knee injury resulted in a less productive season only crossing for 3 tries in 16 games before he got his career going again with a move to Barrow Raiders seeing him score 38 tries in 3 seasons giving him a career total of 94. Whilst at Barrow he achieved a league and cup double as the Raiders clinched the league title and Ipro cup in 2017.

Initially looking to move closer to his home in Lancashire the offer of a 2 year contract at Workington Town and the opportunity to link up with close friend Sean Penkywicz saw Fieldhouse sign for Town. A strong pre-season and a Man of the match award in the Ike Southward victory over Whitehaven where Ryan scored after 56 seconds and later adding a second try set the tone for what was looking like an excellent capture but tragedy struck when Ryan dislocated his shoulder in training which has required surgery meaning a lengthy spell on the sidelines. He has however shown himself to be a credit to the club and promises to get back as soon as possible and leave no stone unturned as he works his way back to fitness.

Good luck with the rehab Ryan and we all hope to see you back on the park soon.
