Fuifui Moimoi is without doubt one of the most recognisable players in the game even now over 15 years since he made is first grade debut for the Parramatta Eels in the NRL competition. Fuifui achieved cult status with his big performances and the fans loved his all action style, barnstorming runs and aggressive all round game. There are youtube video compilations dedicated to Fuifui and he literally was a name known world wide in RL. After 11 seasons at Parramatta where he played 201 games scoring 22 tries Moimoi joined Leigh Centurions in the Championship and after 2 seasons, 45 appearances and 11 tries he joined flagship Canadian team the Toronto Wolfpack playing 20 times notching 12 tries before being released at the start of the 2018 season. Town decided to pursue his signature and after sorting out the neccessary paperwork Fuifui Moimoi debuted for Workington in a convincing home victory over Newcastle Thunder.

His style, strength and all round stature proved invaluable as Town marched towards the play-offs, very likeable and popular with his teammates Fuifui has just resigned for the club for 2019 as he attempts to play his part in a push for promotion. Unfortunately a suspension is carrying over for his sending off against Bradford Bulls in the 29-8 defeat at Odsal in the Play-off final. Now back in the country and back in training Fuifui will soon be back in contention to add his considerable size to Towns pack.

A career record of 283 games, 51 tries and 2 goals at club level is complemented by 8 International cpas for Tonga and a further 12 for New Zealand.

A true legend of the game we are pleased to have Fuifui Moimoi at Workington Town for 2019!

Have a great season 'Big Dox'
