A former Great Britain Community Lions Youth International Elliot returned to Derwent Park after 2 years at Whitehaven in the 2018 off season. A hughly popular figure in his first spell at Town which spanned over 6 seasons it was great to see him return. His popularity at the club is as strong as ever and last season Elliot made a smooth transition to centre enjoying a superb campaign where he finished Town's top try scorer with 16 tries. Crucial in attack and defence Elliot was a massive miss in the play-off final defeat to Swinton when he was unavailable due to the circumstances that surrounded the extension of the season.

A regular try scorer Elliot has played most of his career on the wing but operated at full back during his stint at Whitehaven. His try scoring record is very strong and he is now closing in on 100 career tries on a ratio of nearly 1 a game, which is a fantastic effort from a player who is a massive threat from anywhere on the pitch.

As mentioned Elliot is strong and aggressive in defence and recognised as one of the best backs outside Super League and his standing in the game was acknowledged when he won Championship Young Player of the year in 2012.

He has become a real leader at the club and started the 2019 season with a bang with 2 tries in the opening day win at Oldham. The clubs practical joker, don't turn your back when he's around!

Have a good season 'Bumsy'!
