#OURTOWN FAMILY SUPPORT CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER!

Lets's make a difference this Christmas!

You may have seen over our social media channels our commitment to make a difference to those in need in 2020.

After a tough year for many some families are doing it tougher than others. We are making a commitment to help where we can!

This Christmas we want to support the most vulnerable in Workington and the surrounding towns and villages. As well as raising money we will be collecting toys and food at Derwent Park.

Please follow the link below and do what you can however small to help others, let's make that difference together.

We have already hit our 25% of our initial target and have received many messages of support and questions as to how people can help.

Toys.

We are requesting packaged new toys so we can easily clean down the packaging and distribute when necessary to adhere with Covid19 guidelines for distribution.

Try and think of fun but educational toys, things that get you active, drawing games, let's get those brains working whilst having fun.

We will keep you posted on age ranges that are needing items once donations start coming in!

Food.

We are encouraging food items that can be preserved without refrigeration, tins, packet foods, try and think of the high energy foods that are both healthy and will help provide energy throughout the day. Porridge pots that just need hot water added, tinned fruit etc.

Think healthy! think energy! Let's fuel people up to give them the boost they deserve!

If they're receiving toys, they need energy to play with them!

We also would like you to think about those you know who may need this help and point them our way! If you feel you need a little help then please get in touch.

Boot bank!

Kids grow quickly and are forever outgrowing boots and trainers, how about you wash them, clean them up and donate to us and we will help youngsters have the basic equipment to play sport.

Get funky, get bright and let's assist some children to have some fun and enjoy the benefits sport can bring!

The club will re-open officially on 2nd November and we have adhered to Covid precautions in the main office block and club shop. The club shop will also re-open.

So please wear your mask, sanitise at the station positioned as you enter the front door and use the appropriate NHS track and trace method on arrival.

Keep following the guidelines and stay safe!
